TIDE LEVELS

THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE AROUND MIDDAY TUESDAY...AND QUITE POSSIBLY
TUESDAY NIGHT. THESE TIDAL DEPARTURES WILL ACT TO CAUSE WIDESPREAD
MODERATE COASTAL FLOODING.
A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT. COASTAL
RESIDENTS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RISING
WATER...AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
They're expecting tides over 6 feet for my area. Normal is about 3 1/2. Luckily, my building and its lot are raised above street level. But the streets around us flooded during the last abnormally-high tide event, so we might be wading to our elevated building :-/

It has been a crazy winter. For a several weeks in December we were under a flood watch because the Snake River had ice dams and my kids missed two days of school due to cold. The last two weeks we've had more rain than snow.
