The Brawl at Symphony Hall

Seems that some guy took the "Pops" in "Boston Pops" a little too seriously:

WHDH-TV - New England News - Man in brawl at Boston Pops says he'll press charges

What an ignorant maroon!

Re The Brawl at Symphony Hall

Dern! Here I was hoping it was like the good ol' days -- you know, Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, Franck's Symphony in D Minor, Brahm's Piano Concerto in D Minor (what is it about D Minor, anyway?).

Well, OK, the Brahms didn't start a fight, but it was booed.

I hope the guy who got punched does press charges. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask someone to stop talking at a concert. That's really scary, that someone could react so violently to a request like that.

When Stokowski premierred 'Rite Of Spring', the audience booed, so he turned around and had the orchestra play it again. I loved that story, my music history prof told it all the time in class. I think I would have gotten along really well with Stokowski.

A few armed citizens could have prevented this senseless brawl.

Well, the strings have bows, they'd just need some arrows.
