Aside from the opportunity for some bad movie memorabilia, note that investigators are looking for a source, because it's not the tomatoes, it's the conditions under which they were grown and/or handled. If they don't find a common source, then it really is weird and scary.
So you see, aside from being poisonous, tomatoes are good for you. |

Does washing the tomatoes help? Is this from workers picking tomatoes without washing their hands? Or is the salmonella inside the tomatoes? Is so, where from? Agricultural run-off from feed lots? Plenty of questions there!
