Hell in a handbasket

I don't know if I can follow the news any more. Today there's stories on

1) Natural disasters (eg rain today adding to Mississippi flooding)

2) Economy (eg foreclosed homeowners can't bring pets to new homes, shelters euthanizing at record rates)

3) Political corruption (eg 11-month-old in picture had legs crushed by regime supporters in Zimbabwe )

I'm just sick of everything.

Re Hell in a handbasket

I've had to really cut back on watching any news. I watch a little local stuff and that is about it.

Re Hell in a handbasket

I stick to the Odd news-which is usually both funny and stupid-not sad and heartbreaking.

Re Hell in a handbasket

I stopped watching news regularly a while ago. I was constantly going between depression and disappointment. I am tired of the political tirade--so now I only watch it sporadically, and try to catch some of the local stuff.

I hear you MJ. Seems like the only good news is no news.

We turn the chanel over at 10 minutes after so we miss the news and watch the weather. With it being in the high 90's everyday it's just about as depressing.

Re Hell in a handbasket

You just have to seek out the happy news. Like a bill to protect marriage being sponsored by Larry "Wide Stance" Craig and David "Diaper" Vitter.

Glad I could help.

Re Hell in a handbasket

I've almost stopped blogging over the past week or so. Not only have I been busy, but I seem to have used up this year's supply of outrage already. I just can't respond to anything because I don't want to read about it to begin with.

Add in the fact that, with all the s**t that's going down these days, the major news story the other night on, I think it was NBC, was Tiger Woods.

Lord. Love. A. Duck.
