I agree with you Amy. The thinking is very sad. I question why the doctors who did the IVF would even consider it. They have an heir, a son, but will they be here to be a parent to him???

This is nuts. Who's going to raise this baby, his older sisters? I realize I have sons, three of them, and a daughter, and I wouldn't voluntarily become pregnant for anything. And I would be eightytwo when the baby is twenty, not ninety. How healthy can this baby possible be? The rates for birth anomalies are high enough to give forty year old perspective moms pause. I agree, the doctor must be crazy, too.

The only age factor, genetically, is the father. Those have to be donor eggs, because mama's baby factory had to have shut down 15-20 years ago, minimum.
