| | A place for everything, and everything in its place? | | Today I found a bunch of articles on organizing all kinds of stuff all over the house--some new ideas, some oldies but goodies. Have a look! (If you know where something should go, you don't have to decide where to put it every time you see it someplace where it shouldn't be.)
Like a book that you are in the middle of reading--where do you put it so you don't misplace it? Where do you keep your catsup? Your salt and pepper? Your tea towels? Your oven mitt? Your chocolate--oh wait, who loses chocolate? http://home.ivillage.com/homekeeping...lh5n7q,00.html

| | Re A place for everything, and everything in its place? | | I used to be active on the iVillage Get Organized boards, very cool people there, lots of hints and helps, and a G.O. Challenge twice a year.
Speaking of, what happended to our Domestic Policy daily thread?

| | Re A place for everything, and everything in its place? | | Oy. I have a few places- under my bed, in the fridge - and I put things there. Like my purse.
I need more places, fewer things, and a label maker. And a maid.

| | Re A place for everything, and everything in its place? | | Cool, Helen. It's so much fun to browse through organizing stores (I think one where we used to live was called Lechner's) and see all the novel ways they have to solve space problems. |

I worked for them for about three weeks. Most disorganized and dysfunctional environment I'd ever worked in and I couldn't wait to leave to work at Things Remembered next door.
