I'm really liking Craigslist

My refrigerator and microwave died in the same week and because my car required a new alternator and new tires last week, my budget was tapped out. I found an almost brand new microwave that had been given for a wedding present, then the couple moved into a house with a built-in, for $50 - same model is still on the shelves at Target for $149. Then, I found a 2 month old refrigerator for $60 - combining households and didn't need two. I'm happy.

Re I'm really liking Craigslist

I need a filing cabinet. I should check and see if I can find a nice one on CL...they are wicked expensive to buy new, and I haven't been able to score one used yet.

Re I'm really liking Craigslist

I see file cabinets and microwaves listed on Freecycle a lot.

Lynn, check the business section on CraigsList - tons of office furniture. Shane needs a wraparound office desk to set up his computer system and I'll save at least half by buying it there.

I love Craigs List! I found our rental house on there! The first day I looked! The same day that they posted it!

Re I'm really liking Craigslist

I found a 4-drawer tan file cabinet for $25. Perfect. I have the number written down and will contact them!

(MJ, freecycle scares me for some reason. Maybe it's the whole yahoo board thing, but it does.)

Re I'm really liking Craigslist

I check it, oh, say 50 times a day when I can. I been buying and reselling stuff from there for a while. In fact, there's a guy on his way here now to look at timbales Tracy has listed.

Re I'm really liking Craigslist

I'm never fast enough to get anything on Freecycle.

I like CL, and I've even found part time work on there.
