I need a new mixer!

Never mind that I so rarely use the two year old $300 one I have that I can't even bring myself to write an Epinion.... I have to have this, and I have to have this now!

It's not fair! I want it!

Andrea
who is really pissed you can't trade mixers in the same way DH gets to trade in his cars

OMG, when did Kitchen Aid debut a jadite green mixer??? I love it. I want it. Never mind that I already have a KA mixer. I do need a new toaster though . . . is that a Dualit? I've suffered through several brands and my next toaster is going to be a Dualit.

Have you been cruising the Williams-Sonoma site? It's my absolute favorite web site. Chock full of recipes, ideas, and good stuff to buy. It's not as much fun as browsing a W-S store though. There's only one in Oregon and they know me. I'm there every time I'm in downtown Portland. Great fun.

Sniff.

Yep. Williams and Sonoma.

Sniff. Sniff.

I'm developing a radical plan to make a crapload of money so we can afford to buy a shore house. These jadeite appliances are perfect for a shore house.

Andrea,
If it makes you feel any better my mother had a mixer like that and ended up returning it. She gave me her old mixer though before she returned it so she ended up trading it in for the newer version of the KA mixer that size.

She returned the bigger mixer because it was too loud and too big and it seemed to really strain when she used it. My mom bakes a lot, but she was much happier with the smaller Kitchen Aid mixer. It was less noisy and easier for her to move around and stuff.

That toaster looks really nice. I could use a new one. Recently our ancient toaster decided that it only liked toasting one side of the bread so my mom gave me one that she had gotten at a dollar store, LOL. That too doesn't toast both sides of the bread very well. If I want my bread evenly toasted then I have to flip it after it pops up. So that looks like a really nice toaster and I wouldn't mind having that myself .

LOL, the toaster in question is currently on sale for $219.00 and that's why I haven't bought one before now. Dualit toasters are unquestionably the Rolls Royce of the toaster trade, but it's still a chunk of change. I'm waiting for Andrea's review before I make a purchase decision.

Yeah, well, DH had a lovely car before he traded it in.

It's not fair.
