Top Five - stranded on a desert island - junk food

Do you have an all time, top five, junk food list that you'd just have to have if you were stranded on a dessert island:

Here is my list:

1 - Blue corn nacho chips with spicy salsa sauce

2 - Rolos

3 - Joe Louis: Chocolate cake, whipped cream middle, dipped in chocolate (similar to a Debbie Snack cake or twinkie)

4 - PC (local brand) thick crunchy potato chips, cooked in olive oil with rosemary

5 - Licorice Allsorts (the brand from England)

Anyone else a junk food junkie?
:lips:

Oh, geez, only 5? I'm going to assume I have some kind of refrigeration or at least a cooler, since chocolate melts on desert islands. I don't know about dessert islands - ile flottante, anyone?

1. Drake's Cakes Devil Dogs. I love these things. If the store is out, I'll settle for their coffee cakes, but nothing says junk food to me like a Devil Dog.

2. Dark chocolate non-pareils. Ghirardelli if you got 'em, but the ones out of the bulk bins at the grocery store are dandy enough for me. One of the local stores is getting rid of all their bulk bins, and put everything left on sale at half price. I don't want to mention just how many non-pareils I bought. And ate.

3. Max's Niagara Falls Cake. From the Max's chain of restaurants, known for their great sandwiches, incredible potato salad, and desserts the size of a small pickup truck. While I haven't yet had a dessert there I hated, the Niagara Falls cake (gads, I hope that's the right name - it's the chocolate cake with both white and chocolate icings) is my favorite, hands down. I love the balance between the chocolate and the white frosting - and the white frosting actually tastes of vanilla. Yum.

4. Dunkin' Donuts Vanilla Creme and Chocolate Creme donuts. The icing filled. (Hrm, more icing. Sense a theme here?) Warm, cold, I don't care. I LOVE these things. I like their crullers, too, but they don't sell the crullers out here. I could easily eat a dozen of these icing-filled donuts alone. This is why I never buy more than one or two.

5. Cheetos. It was a toss up between Cheetos and the Buttermilk Ranch Pretzel Pieces, and Cheetos only won because I started fantasizing again about the Bacon Cheese flavored ones they test marketed some years ago. They were addictive, smoky, cheesy, and wonderful - so of course they didn't make them. But since I'm fantasizing about this island, I can also fantasize about a factory being set up just for me to make Bacon Cheese Cheetos.

Honorable mention: Mint M&Ms. I buy extra bags when they go on sale around Christmas so I can have them all year long.

(Edited 6/5 because of a stupid typo. I should learn not to type on no sleep.)

Mmmm, I'm getting the munchies just thinking about this, and I already ate dinner.

Salty stuff -- Pringles
Stuff that sounds healthier than it really is -- Smartfood popcorn
Sweet stuff -- Oreos, Snickers bars
Soda stuff -- Schweppes ginger ale

This sounds like a must have! With ice cream?

Do all of the five items have to be junk food? I'm not such a fan. However, I do have a list of five things I couldn't live without:

1. Asparagus

2. fresh potato-rye bread (obviously, the local bakery would have to make twice-weekly deliveries in order to ensrue freshness)

3. Starbuck's latte (Tim's X-large, 4 creams is an acceptable alternative)

4. feta cheese

5. Godiva champagne truffles (ok, I had to put one real junk-food item on my list!)

There's not quite room on the plate for ice cream with this cake....The wedge is about 4 inches wide on the thick end and easily 6 inches from tip to base. I suppose they could serve with with ice cream if you would like .

I'd like to think that I never indulge in junk food, but it's not true.

Ice cream. Specifically, Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia or Haagen Dazs Vanilla Swiss Almond. Sigh. A pint of either one and a good movie is my idea of a wonderful Friday night.
Nestle's Toll House cookies. I've been baking these since I was 8 years old and they're still my all time favorite. I almost always have a batch of dough in the freezer in case my son needs a quick pick-me-up.
I don't buy potato chips or tortilla chips, for the most part, because I can't stay away from an opened bag. Munch until they're gone, that's me. But if I were on a desert island (I love the imagery in Purplewiz's Dessert Island!), I'd stock a variety of Kettle Chips. especially the Vinegar & Sea Salt and Mustard & Honey baked chips. Absolutely wonderful.
M&Ms are my favorite snack candy. I use them as manipulatives at least three times in my stats classes . . . measures of central tendency, confidence intervals for proportions, and chi square estimation . . . and the students have fun while mastering the concepts, but the real reason is that it gives me an opportunity to munch them in class.
Pepperidge Farms Double Chocolate Milano Cookies. I love sitting down with a good book, cup of tea, and a plate of these cookies. My dog lies beside me with her own plate of Milk-bones and we're a very content duo.
