Got there and there was a long line. Was debating going to work and voting tonight. Then the nice lady came down the line and said, anyone with last names of H, I, J? Off I went to sign in and place my vote.
Now if the electronic voting machine places it properly, all is well. |

| | Re is busy, but not too busy for a psa | | Oh, I totally held my nose for the comptroller vote. Hubby was all "Which one do I want again?" (I was in the booth with him 'cause he can never figure out the levers. ) I pointed and said "This is the guy who stole goods and services from the state and this guy [pointing] is the one with no experience and a member of the party we don't like." But I did giggle when I voted against my local congressman

| | Re is busy, but not too busy for a psa | | 400 people voted at my precinct by 11 am. We got there at 11:20 and there was a line.
8 of the touch-screen voting machines, average of 100/hour so far and they told me that there has been a line all morning.
12 people per machine per hour, it's clearly taking people 5+ minutes to cast their ballots. It's gonna get really ugly when the after-work crowd shows up, because they're going to be in really long lines unless they can read faster than the people in front of me.

| | Re is busy, but not too busy for a psa | | Voted this morning at 6:30, was number 97. We still have paper ballots. Other than being at the wrong voting place because I moved (according to records, but not really according to where I now live), I was in and out pretty quick. Even getting the info so I could vote there only took one phone call. I'm glad we did my voting before work, it'll be crazy after work and we're counting on the place Nick has to go to be less crowded after work because it's in a much smaller town. I guess we'll find out if it comes back to bite us. I have a feeling we should have both gone this morning.

| | Re is busy, but not too busy for a psa | | You get stickers when you vote? I've been robbed! Pershing County owes me an entire backlog of stickers! (I've never actually voted in person, only by absentee ballot because I've either been in college or in the military and not living in my state of residence.)

Not only that, but I bought cinnamon sour cream cake from the Friends of the Library (no they're not Quakers) for their bake sale. Voting is delicious. |

| | Re is busy, but not too busy for a psa | | Went in around 11 and was #68 at my station. Our county went to paper ballots this year, marked with ink pen and inserted into a reader/counter thingamabob. We used to have the curtained booths with the buttons - no levers. Now we can just get our ballot, sit down comfortably without holding up anyone, and vote at our own pace.

| | Re is busy, but not too busy for a psa | | Pencil and paper here, and we could go pretty much anywhere in the room to fill it out. They did have a couple areas with cardboard dividers, but only about 6 of them, so most people were just sitting at other tables or at counters.
No stickers at my polling place though, I was a little bummed. Especially now that I see everybody at work walking around with them.
