There are a lot of small events that go on within driving distance all summer.

I hate the neologism "staycation," but that's basically what people are enjoying in this crappy economy this summer.

We used to do a lot more of it in NH... craft fairs and lobster bakes and chowderfests and whatnot. I wither in the Maryland heat, though, but I should have pushed myself out for Artscape here in Baltimore.

That is why DC is so wonderful! Air conditioned museums that are FREE... Whee!
