| | Last week, Ryan and I visited a small restaurant in Lowell called the Eggroll Cafe where we both had Bubble Tea for the first time. An invention of Taiwan, I'm gathering that "Bubble Tea" is a name that began... More... |

| | Arkansas has finally arrived, I guess.
You're in Massachusetts and you've just had bubble tea for the first time, and we've had it in Arkansas for several years now.
Not that I like it one bit, but my daughter does. I usually get the slushy drinks, hold the boba. |

| | I've seen it advertised a lot, but never knew what it was - I thought it was just some brand of tea. Now I want to try it. |

| | There are several bubble tea places here, since there are so many Asian students at our university. Jeremy and Chris really like bubble tea, and I've never had it.

| | I first saw it on the kids show, "Postcards from Buster" and thought it sounded neat. There is at least one place here in the mall that sells it, I really ought to get one one time that we're all out so we can all share it and try it out.

| | I think it might have been here, because I remember reading about it a long time ago. I've never seen the stuff in person, however. But I don't think I've ever seen a Vietnamese restaurant either. Maybe next time I'm in the city, I'll look for one. |

| | Ah, now I know why Bubble Tea is new in Massachusetts and Omaha and well known here.
When the Vietnamese people were relocated to America after the end of the war, they were processed at our nearby military base while waiting for sponsoring families and churches all over the country. A large number settled here, and so we have a number of Vietnamese restaurants. |

| | My mom tells me the Vietnamese came to the nearby "city" in the 1960s and 1970s. She said that working in the hospital at that time made communication difficult with this sudden influx of people who didn't speak English. They didn't seem to stay here, however. I don't know where they moved off to. The Portuguese came at the same time, I thought, but they stayed. I can find Portuguese food without a problem, but no Vietnamese. |

| | I thought the place I bought bubble tea was Thai, but I could be wrong. (And if you can't find bubble tea, try to find Thai iced tea, creamy-cold-yummy)

| | I've been wanting to try bubble tea for ages. It sounds interesting but we're a bit out in the country for something like this. Next time we go up to Boston maybe. | | |
