I can't keep a user on my WOT. I keep putting him on my WOT and it keeps taking him off my WOT. I can see that the "trust" link has been clicked before. It has changed color. But the WOT won't stick.
WOT's up wit that?

That's just a new intuitive feature that Epinions introduced a while ago. It happens when the potential trustee doesn't like you, and doesn't want to be on your WOT.
I'd block him/her.

UserX doesn't like me, and WOD's me. I like UserX and try to WOT him. Epinions then lets me know he's WODed me? Wow... |

That's pretty much the way it works.
Except the person hasn't actually WODed you. Just doesn't like you. Could be anything...your profile page picture, your shoes, the fact that you chew gum...anything at all.

With all due respect to Rich, this can't be right. How can someone not like Julie?
And if it's not by using the WOD, how does the person signal his or her dislike in a way that the Epinions system picks up on it? |

Well, Peter, to be perfectly honest with you, despite the fact that Julie is quite articulate and charming as well as a real knockout, the ugly truth is that she has stinky feet. The condition is not irreversible, and not at all lethal, but word got around.
Julie types with her toes on occasion (her hands are usually occupied with a bottle of booze and a cigar). Sometimes an aromatic footy type scent is conveyed to other members via the ethernet. Folks who cannot tolerate that sort of thing have expressed their displeasure by not allowing Julie to trust them.
I love Julie. She's really a nice person. But then again, I've got a sinus condition so her affliction doesn't affect me at all.
