I was just wondering what prompts any given Epinion review to show up on a google search? Is there anything one can do to help increase visibility of their reviews by non-eps members?
Any advise would be helpful!
thanks,
Echo

Re non-member page views

The product name is one of the most important items. Play around with Google searching for a product you want to write about and you'll see what the top ranking hits have in common.
Also remember than companies can pay to have a higher ranking, so a lot may have nothing to do with your title.

You mean companies can pay Google to rank higher? I guess that would make sense. I'm just confused as to how some people on Epinions have such super high page views, by members and non-members alike. I understand the visability thing on Epinions itself, but just not sure how to increase my visibility outside of Epinions.

Re non-member page views

Part of it has to do with how many times your review gets accessed, so having the review toward the top of the sort (like CLs and TRs) helps. Or... having the only review of a product.

Also, repeating the name in its entirety. I just do a copy, and then any time I mention the product, instead of shortening the name, pop the whole thing in again.

I have a review for face soap that appears in Google rankings ABOVE the company's US outlet for selling it. It's the #1 Google ranking for the product.
