Editor bonuses on the rise?

Editor bonuses are now out (rest of IS coming later today), although at least for me, it only shows in my earnings details, not in my overall account balance. Mine seems to be going up steadily as the months progress:

Oct.: $2.80
Nov.: $4.00
Dec.: $6.67

Are other editors seeing this increase, or is it a reflection of me reading more/leaving more comments? (or something else entirely, like the fact that in december I was really the only active editor in my area--does that have an effect?)

Mine was less than a third this month of what it was last month.

My editor bonus is up but is still a little less than it was the first month. Basically I got around half of what I got the first month in the second month and then it's climbed back up ever since.

However, considering I've added an editor hat each month, you could attribute the increase to that. Dunno. I gave up on figuring it out - it doesn't seem to be tied to amount of rating - I went away for 10 days in Nov w/o looking at eps and my money still went up that month (for instance).

Ah! That's where it's at. I was scratching my head trying to figure out how I can be an editor in three places and not even get a penny.

And mine went up this month.

I've only had one go down. In September, it went down like 33% compared to August, then it went back to around August and has climbed a little bit ever since.

But let's not get wild and crazy. I still can't quit my day job over it!

I'm a little mixed up, too. I am listed as an editor in two categories, and got letters in those two categories, and tried to visit those two categories here and there during the month.

When I'd rate, the "editor" button wasn't there. When I gave an NH, it was listed as hidden.

But that isn't the worst of it...I didn't get one penny, not one, in editor bonus.

If I AM an editor (and the letter said I was) then let them throw a little money my way.

If not, I really don't have any incentive to read mediocre or terrible reviews.

No, it doesn't show up there yet Bridge. You need to go to the "other/redemption" tab under earnings to see it.

There is a known bug that you never see your own editor button on a rating. Do you have yourself set to not show NH? Also see my last post to Bridge concerning where to find the bonus.

Of course, my rating activity has been significantly down, so I suppose that could translate into a significant increase if you squint at it.

Save for a small upward spike last disbursement (of 37 cents), my bonuses have gone steadily down, this month's being the lowest yet.

Then again, so has my reading/rating at the site (gone steadily down, that is).

I'm still waiting to be paid for the last month I was editor.

I was not given an editor bonus, and I got stripped of being an editor to boot. And Nirav wondered why I wasn't interested in talking with him...

Okay you all, this is really freaking me out. Isn't ANYONE besides me seeing this kind of jump? I really haven't increased my reading particularly much over these months, so I don't know why I'd be seeing this level of increases if no one else is. Sure, I'll take the money and run, but it just doesn't seem fair. I must be on Nirav's good list.

My Editor Bonus for 2 categories was a dime more than last month and .50 cents more than 2 months ago, but my IS has been around 3.50 each month since October. Seems I'm more than twice as valuable as two editors than I am for being a reviewer.

This time my actual IS was better than the past two months combined, at about $22.00

My Editor bonus has been going up as well.

Now for Dec it is $16.01 for four hats
but there is hardly that much activity for Newspapers & Mags

So I had under three dollars and now have over forty bucks, finally!

I have a hard time finding the reviews that have IS. I was surprised I had an Arthur Book that made 37 cents in IS plus my Balmex diaper rash stuff made .28 cents and KB toys had 43 cents.

I just realized my Red Bull Energy Drink has almost 1200 total hits.

I was hoping to move up to $15 in my acct so I am glad I got more than I expected.

Come the 23rd of January see if I keep all my hats or not.

I have editor hats in six categories. It seems I made more than last time, but less in the sense that I have more categories. Obviously it is hard to keep up and read in six areas, rate and leave comments as needed. That is why I turned down one hat (which is still snoozing on my profile page). If I am committed to something I want to give it my all.

I don't know if these are based on r/r/comments for the month of December?! Does anyone know? Someone said they made quite a bit, but had only been an editor for two weeks, so it didn't make sense to me.

The editor bonuses aren't sufficient to quit your day job or plan retirement, but they are nice, and make me feel it is worth my time/trouble/effort. Besides I like helping people, and once in a while someone will send a warm, appreciative email, and that means a lot. They certainly don't have to do it, but it does make you feel good.
