The creatures of the night sing their dreadful song
On a moonless night in a very dark sky
Thinking this is the kind of night I do not belong
In this ugly place I don't want to stay.
All of a sudden the ground opens
Exposing the fiery pits of hell
As hoping to gobble me up for all my sins
Then all of a sudden I tripped and fell.
The earth totally enveloped me
I could see the bright fire as I fell
I wish where I am going I could flee
As I transcend downward I hear a voice beckoning me.
The voice sounded familiar in an eerie way
It was haunting but yet inviting
Please in hell's fire I don't want to play
I could make my escape if I only had wings.
The voice calls my name and I awake
Terrible dream, don't want to go there
Please I pray no more bad dreams for my sake
And I continue to fall towards the devil's lair |
