I was petting Piper on the bed when she put her tiny kitty paw on my hand. I decided to sing a little stupid ditty to her, which I think she liked.
I've got little kitty paws
With tiny little kitty claws
And I'm a little kitty 'cause
I don't eat very much
The food I eat, I sometimes barf it
On my daddy's pretty carpet
When he runs in to make me stop it
I barf it on the floor
Then I went and visited Edloe, the biggest cat we've got. Edloe grumped at me and demanded a treat, so I thought I'd sing this to her:
I've got piggy kitty paws
And biggy piggy kitty claws
And I'm a piggy kitty 'cause
I eat too fucking much
I eat my food, and all yours too
And then I make my kitty poo
I try to make it fun for you
By going on the floor
Frisky was hiding behind the chair, but I convinced him to come out long enough to listen to my song. He got a little wild and attacked for fun, but stayed long enough for my song:
Don't touch my little fluffy feet
I don't care if you think they're neat
I hope that you will not repeat
This stupid little song
I love to prance and dance around
Until that plate is on the ground
I dig into the yummy mound
And gobble all it up
As for Nardo, well, he didn't want to hear the song. I have yet to come up with anything for him, and he'd better be happy with that.  |

LOVE YOUR KITTY DITTIES!!!!
I used to modify "My Bonnie lies over the ocean" for Buffy:
"My Buffy lies over the doorstep
My Buffy lies over the chair
'Cause Buffy's so big and so fat
And he covers it all with his hair."
He also has a habit of sprawling on his back (probably more comfortable for him because of his girth). Then I sing the old Irish folk tune "What do you do with a drunken sailor" to him. He's usually not amused.

UPDATE: Piper died two weeks ago. Edloe died a year and a half ago.
But I still sing to Frisky about his fluffy feet now and then. |

So sorry to hear about your kitties! I lost one of my babies a few weeks ago too. 
I had never seen these songs before, and I love them! I sing songs to our 3 fuzz butts all the time!  |

Nardo used to have to deal with Edloe posting up at the back door. When he wanted to go outside, she'd yell at him for a while, threaten him, get tired, and then nap so Nardo would sneak out or in.
When she died, Nardo took a while to get used to not having to pass through The Grumpus Guard.
At dinner, Piper used to whap Nardo on the head if he crossed whiskers with her on the dinner plate. So he was very careful to eat from the opposite side, and then wait until Piper was done before finishing.
Now, after a brief period of looking around, he just goes for the plate without hesitating. |

Birdie and Scooter hated each other.
Birdie and Bogey were from the same litter and were always together (although they weren't snuggly or anything - they just always lived together).
Suprisingly and for me somewhat saddly, the boys had little to no reaction to her death. I miss her so much and I couldn't understand how they weren't phased by it. Luckily they have pretty much accepted Tate. Scooter is a bit jealous of Tate and every now and then he gets a bit aggressive, but Tate is a big baby. We just rolls over on his back and shows his belly and says "don't worry, be happy".
Scooter looks at him with disgust and gives him his best "you're retarded" look. | |
