| | #4 came downstairs holding his walkie-talkie, complaining loudly because it didn't get good reception.
So, I did the obvious thing that any bored mom would do. I suggested that he make a large receiver dish out of foil and mount it on his head. Since I managed to make my entire suggestion without laughing, he is in the kitchen now. Making his tinfoil hat. He wants to try it outside. |

| | I think he suspects something, so I'll have to wait till he goes to bed to post the pics. But, OMG! He is so adorable. In a really whacked, medical-mystery-novel sort of way...
The funny thing is, that really did improve reception to his walkie-talkie. So, #3 decided to improve the base station using similar principles. Unfortunately, his photos cannot be posted, since this is a family-friendly website. See, the base station straps onto the user's waist and tehn hangs down a bit. So, adding a long antenna made of foil....anyway.
Btw, Delia, #4 is so impressed by his ability to improve reception of a walkie-talkie that he is trying to make some for you and Brian. After all, since you guys use cell phones, and since you like to talk to each other, he reckons that it would be really neat if you each would wear one of these so you could always hear each other. I have created a monster. |

| | How sweet. Just so long as I don't have to wear a tin foil tail between my legs! |

That is a really old picture of what happens when I get bored and find the aluminium foil...

Cindy, have you shown them how to make a cast of their face with foil? ::evil grin::
You don't HAVE to tell them about airholes..;D

| | Ok, Joan? I need this info right now. I can see a great deal of entertainment (for me, at least) coming out of a roll of tin foil. Tell me what to do next! |

| | Basically you fold foil over to make about three thicknesses. Then you ( or an evil brother) press it to your face, making sure to crease it everywhere your face creases. When you are done, you have a foil life mask.
Of course if it takes too long, and there are no air holes...
well, you get my drift.
These are so cool to look back at later when the kids are older!
Also, foil can be fun to make animals out of. many of the restauraants I worked at would wrap leftovers in a large piece of foil, then fashion one end to be a bird's neck and the other a peacock tail. We did alligators, baskets, lots of things! Foil is fun!
