| | ...Technicolour Cargo Pants
This is from the 'WTF could I have been thinking?' dept. I was at Target last week buying pants for #'s 3 and 4. They've grown, and we all got tired of seeing them walking around in knickers. Since it's between seasons, though (according to the lady at Target when I complained about the wide selection of shorts and not much else) I only found one rack of long pants.
The pants available are called 'SketchWear', and ought to be called MomBeWare' instead. They come with a set of 4 markers, and even provide handy loops on one leg to carry markers around. The markers are for...drawing on the pants. That's right, I bought two of the Horsemen pants which they can turn into wearable art. The colours supposedly wash out at each washing. Of course, neither of them wants to wash his pants so as not to wash out the designs.
The designs include:
1. A sleeping cat, whose position and tail sticking out make it look somewhat like a grenade.
2. A sword (awkwardly placed, I should point out)
3. A bunch of fruit with flames shooting out ( ).
4. Some just plain flames, sans fruit.
5. A pirate whose eye patch makes him look hideously deformed.
However, #4 decided to take his creativity to a whole new level. On the back of his pants, accross the widest stretch of material, he wrote in gigantic letters,
I :hugeheart: MOM!!!!!
I'm not sure how I feel about being advertised accross one of my offspring's tushies. I'll tell you after I manage to not giggle every time I see him walk past. I would just love to see what the other kids at the playground have to say about this, though. |

| | Wow, Canada is so different! Our fall clothes come out in the states at the end of July. I always thought that was a rush!
The pants sound interesting. And if the designs get too far out there, you could always accipurposely wash them |

| | Canada is not exactly a shopper's idea of heaven. I always shop in Michigan. Al of the stores I shop in for my own clothing have had fall clothes since July, it's just proving to be hard to buy for the boys. And yes, I think that the Washing Machine FAiry may be visitng our house tonight. |

| | Pippa, I thought of you today. Someone, no one has confessed yet, drew poop in a pile next to the cat #4 drew on his pants. The high-pitched screams accompanied by jumping up and down while waving his fists were so imprssive. The child must go to law school.
However, he now wants his pants washed. And no, I did not draw the poop. |

| | Something tells me if my boys ever met yours, they'd want to be Horsemen for Halloween instead of Teen Titans. |

| | Bug and Buster want to be Robin and Cyborg. Mind you, they were Batman and Robin LAST year, but Buster's Robin costume won't fit Bug. | | |
