| | They're magically delicious! | | Usually, when I get back home from my annual holiday, my house is messy and there is no food anywhere. However, this year I got the royal treatment. There were fresh cookies on a nice plate, and I had a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting on my table. It was the nicest surprise!
Next morning, I got a knock on my bedroom door. It was #4, bringing me breakfast in bed. Breakfast was Lucky Charms. With two pitchers of milk- regular, and chocolate "just in case you want a gourmet breakfast instead of regular", #4 explained.
Now, Lucky Charms sympbolizes everything which is wrong with our country, in my opinion. No nutritional value whatsoever, candy in every serving, and direct-marketed to children. I never have the stuff in the house. However, they must have scampered off to the store about ten minutes after my plane left the ground.
As I sat there happily eating my Lucky Charms, it occurred to me that there are things way worse in the world than being fed sugar-covered refined grains and candy for breakfast. Being away was just wonderful, and I really needed my break. Coming home again was also wonderful, being surrounded by my boys again. |

Cindy, I pretty much had the same epiphany when I got home (no Lucky Charms, however...I don't think I could go that far)...but I think we all need to get away once in a while.

| | Re They're magically delicious! | | I love lucky charms. My mother would NEVER buy sugary cereals, my dad only bought frosted flakes, I remember the 1st time I had lucky charms at a friend's house after a sleep over... I'm still addicted
