#2 has always greatly admired #1's SWAT boots, and this year begged for a pair of his own. Since #1 used his for working out/trail running, I thought this was a good idea, and ordered them online.
Unfortunately, #2 has wide feet and so the ones I ordered didn't fit. I called the nice folks at copsplus.com, explained the situation, and they agreed to go ahead and ship the replacement pair while they waited for the returned ones to arrive. Great customer service from these folks.
Today, I got a call from Gary. It went like this:
G. "So, what exactly did you get #2 for Christmas?"
Me- "Um....boots?"
G. "Want another guess?"
Here's what arrived:
Ruh-roh.
So, the stainless steel collapsible police baton which they sent instead is not an acceptible substitute for boots. The nice lady at customer service first suggested that maybe I would like to just keep it while they reship his boots. I barely had time to say,"I have four boys and I homeschool" before she said that she was going to toss a drop label into the mail for me ASAP. She;s also sending me a free POW MIA magnet as well. Funny thing, that- she must have read my mind.
