Opera Issue

Not sure if anyone uses it.. in Opera 8.. now you cannot browse tot he bottom anymore. Shows a few posts, but then stops. really strange, not sure if its a java rendering issue.

2nd.. I like the style and colors Amy..good stuff!

and 3rd, RC2 just hit the racks.. prepare for another Upgrade! LOL

Yea, its strange, only happens in the actual thread too.. but no Quick reply box shows up, also i think it cuts off posts too if there are more than a certain amount.

Can "new reply" still...

but when I left the thread and came back, I didnt gett he quick reply again..and the other stuff at the bottom. it just stops..

I'll play around with opera when I get home and see if I spot anything. Auntie Emma usually uses Opera though. I wonder if she's having probs?

Hi -- I haven't upgraded to Opera 8 yet -- I'm still using Opera 7.54. I'm not having any problems now.

In the past, though, I did have a problem similar to the one Sooner is describing of not being able to get the whole page to show up on some threads, and it turned out to be a proxy server problem. I'm using Earthlink dialup with their acceleration feature turned on, and when I turned the acceleration off (by unchecking "enable proxy servers") that solved the problem. The problem only happened with big threads that had a lot of pictures, which seemed to somehow overwhelm the accelerator thingie. Does that make sense? MJ was the one who solved the problem when I had it, and it seems to be more an accelerator problem than an Opera problem.

OK Emma... I don't use that proggy, much less dialup.. and the bbs works just fine in ohter browsers so I'm guessing it s an Opera issue this time around for me. Does the same thing on my other pc's using same browser.

using Firefox.. no issues..

I have offcially switched to it now.. bye bye Opera..
