| | I am new to this forum and would like to say Hello to everyone and thank you for having me.
I wandered into here after reading a snippet of a post from the symposium forum on another board and thought the political discussion to be lively and well thought out. With the election season close at hand, I am hoping that I can add to the discussions in that aspect as I whet my appetite in the other forums and threads that make up this eaforums site.

I have to admit, for the first time in (mumble mumble) years, I am actually interested and following this election. Registered Independent, professional fence-sitter.
Glad to have you...hope you find enough to keep you interested even after the election!

| | Our Symposium posts are escaping into the outside world? There's a frightening thought.
In any case, glad to have you here. The Symposium is where the most contentious discussions go. There's Current Events for discussing the interesting or insane events of the day from a more politically detached perspective.
And beyond that there's a whole board full of opinions on other things. Feel free to ask for an opinion. You'll nearly always get one, though the threads do wander off-topic.

| | Hello QED...
The Symposium is best read while holding a large cocktail of some sort.
I have recently discovered cosmopolitans.

| | So, what forum did you see quoting our Symposium? I'm curious about how our stuff gets around.
You can email me a link at sensettigg@farifluset.mailexpire.com and I'll post it here.

| | That would be from me. I quoted a bit of one of Fraz's posts (about Ifill and the VP debate) because I thought she had a very good example of why Ifill was picked as moderator. Apparently it piqued Qed's interest enough to visit this board.
