Wild Wild Monday

Start out another week right with your pals at H&F! What's in your planner for good stuff today?

I'm planning a day of rest. I suddenly realized, in the shower this a.m. (that's where I do some of my best thinking ) that I purposely walked more miles this weekend than I drive to work every day.

And that didn't even include "lifestyle" steps.

Yep. A day of rest is just what I need. Too bad I have to fit work into it

Lynn

I'll be resting, too. I like being able to plan that.

Looks like I'm resting today too. I somehow managed to strain something in my leg yesterday -- hamstring, I think. (I can't straighten my right leg completely.) I don't know when or how, but I suspect it had something to do with walking in the rain and altering my gait slightly to deal with wet socks.

And, yes, I did buy rain shoes. They were at home. It wasn't raining when I left the house and the forecast didn't call for rain for at least 4 hours. Fortunately I stashed a rain jacket in my fanny pack.

Word to the wise: Coolmax socks are great, but rain seems to be their kryponite. Fortunately I made it home with feets of flame, but no blisters yet.

Ooh, Sara! You didn't wear the ugly sloggers?

Take care of that hamstring...go see a doc if it gets too ugly. Hope you feel better soon!

Smart, huh?

It's feeling a little better now. It only hurts when I walk (yeah, I know, so don't walk :p ) I managed to hobble a few blocks at lunch -- from the car to the restaurant and the soreness and stiffness seemed to decrease as I walked.

I don't think it'll be too bad. It better not be. I can't afford that.

Take care of yourself, Sara! Pulled hamstrings are no fun. I hope it's just a little muscle strain instead, which heals a lot more quickly.

I ran a few miles today after getting back from Syracuse, just to get back in the groove after two days off.
