| | Thanks for the positive thoughts and good wishes | | I'm back from my 10-hour Hospital Experience and feeling much better than I expected I would (or maybe it's just the great drugs that haven't worn off ). The doctor ran into some sort of complication during the surgery, but I don't know what it was - she told Hubby who, of course, promptly forgot every word she said after the word "complication." The pain when I came to was incredibly intense, but some morphine and some anti-cramping meds and 20 minutes later I felt better. Now I'm just loopy and pretty sore, but otherwise OK. They're doing a biopsy on the stuff they took out and I go back to the doc in 2 weeks to find out where we go from here.
I just really wanted to thank everyone for the good wishes and prayers and thoughts and sending good vibes and all that. Hubby is amazed at the level of caring on this board, that people I never met would be so concerned and all that. Y'all are great.

| | Well the drugs wore off and so far I'm a little sore, a little tired, and have a sore throat and congested-feeling ear (probably from that tube they shove down the throat). Hoping this doesn't trigger my tonsils to flare up, but it shouldn't since I haven't had my tonsils flare up for about 7 years now. (crossing fingers)
I'm glad I took today off from work and I'm glad I'm feeling better than I thought I would - and I'm really glad the drug-induced vertigo seems to be gone
mj
who didn't like the morphine quite so much when it was wearing off and making her dizzy
