My foot is numb?

Ok, this is dumb but I'm freaked out!

Earlier this afternoon we had errands to run, including filing our taxes. It's downright frigid outside. It was 7 degrees with a wind chill below zero. My feet were freezing in the car but warmed up now. I just noticed the bottom of my right foot is numb. I can't get the feeling back (tried massaging and walking on it -- I'm actually shaking from nervousness right now -- I'm such a twit, lol). I'm first aid certified but can't think. What do I do, lol?

Is it possible the bottom of that foot is usually numb (due to thickened skin, etc.) and you've never noticed it?

If it's not discolored or otherwise looking funky, it's probably not frostbite. But if the numbness continues over the next day or so, I'd have it checked out.

Thanks for the suggestion, MJ.

Evidently I am a moron! Right after I posted this my other foot went numb, too. Then I remember that you're not supposed to massage or rub cold skin that might have frostbite or hypothermia. I went upstairs to soak my feet in the tub, took my socks off, and both feet were funky colors like white and purple. After 10 minutes of soaking, the skin was still a little cold. 2 pairs of socks later, all is well in the world again.
