| | Here we go....Whiner's Wednesday - H&F 2/26 | | Oy. Uff Da. Argh.
No matter the language, feel free to chime in and whine today. As long as your whines are Health and Fitness related, they will be tolerated.
My whine? Well, I've been working too damn hard. Result: Stress eating. I'm not snacking a whole lot, but I'm eating crap that is attaching itself right to my thighs and hips.
I'm supposed to go out of town this weekend, but I have a nasty suspicion that may be put on hold because of work.
I'm still thinking on the March Challenge. Mr. Scale was NOT my friend this a.m., up another POUND, for God's sake!!!!!
Oy. Uff Da. Argh.

| | I'm not feeling well. I have to go to the ENT to find out about my dizziness today. I have to do three diagnostic tests plus a hearring test today. The bad part is that I can't take any medication prior to my exam, plus I have a cold. I can't breathe, my throat is burning, my lungs are filled with fluid, and I can't do anything about it. Grr!
The worst part is I am sick because of my doctor. A few years ago my allergies went out of control, and it made me very, very sick. I got pneumonia as a result of all of this. Since then, I've had to take Clariten or Clarinex nearly every day. My ENT said "why are you taking that junk" and told me only to take my Flonase. That's when my allergies went out of whack again, and now I'm sick.
Gah! I'm going to the ENT for the dizziness I've been having. The dizziness is less, but, I'm equally as sick.
Worse yet, the tests I am going to have done are going to make me dizzy. Luckily, my mom is working 3-11 today, so she'll be able to drop me off at my apt and pick me up again. Gotta love Mommies. She's going to keep me from driving dizzy again. |

| | Jeffrey is on a business trip. Okay, so you said it had to be H&F related. When he's out of town I eat horribly. I've been trying to be better this time, but our housemate, who's on the same business trip, left most of a meat-covered pizza in the fridge. It's gone now.
The good part is that at least I have a friend visiting while they're gone. And she always manages to inspire me to get at least a little exercise, because she's Ms. Industrious (yesterday she took apart the ceiling fan in the downstairs bathroom and cleaned it). |

| | My head hurts, my stomach is queasy, and I have to go into a meeting with the Big Boss today. [not h/f] I told Big Boss for 18 months that we were starting to collect a bunch of overpaid foster parents and that we needed to recoup the money but that it couldn't be me. So they hired someone to do that and some other things. The person they hired totalled up all the overpayments and it came to $34,000. So now there's this big meeting today to ask me why there's so much money to recoup and what am I doing to make sure this doesn't happen again. [/not h/f]
So it's not good that I'm feeling sub-par right now, darn it. And I've been craving carbs and chocolate again, yet, and still.

| | I went for a run this morning. It was sunny but extremely cold. I got in about two miles.
[whine] I came home, slightly sweaty, and the water was turned off. I called the management and asked what was going on and they said repair guys had shut off the water to fix something. That's great, but a little notice would have been nice so that I could have adjusted my schedule. I took a sponge bath in the sink with the 3/4 liter of drinking water I had left, but I couldn't wash my hair and it kind of needs it. If you smell something funny today, it's probably me.
I'm also stressed about my thesis but I had some meetings yesterday and I have a direction to go in and a few new ideas so once I stop procrastinating and actually do the damn thing, it should get better. [/whine]

I think I have what Margaret has.
I just did a 2 hour conference call while I had a temp. of 101. I hope I made sense.

I got done with two of my A+ priorities.
1/2 of my to-do list has been put on hold
I get to go on my trip this weekend.
We got our bonuses deposited in our bank accounts today.

| | I got in my exercise today! I spent about 45 minutes outside shoveling ice in the road so that the melting stuff could drain into the drainage place outside my apartment. The ice was blocking it up and the water was just pooling. So I feel like I've done my good samaritan duty for a while.
My only whine is that because of the two snow days, I now have to work on Good Friday and Memorial Day.

| | Katherine, I believe this is a cold which was caused by post nasal drip.
The dizziness thing -- I don't know what that is. They'll let me know in 9 days when I meet with the doctor . All they've told me so far is that I've had hearing loss on the right side, but they're not sure if it is temporary.
They did all kinds of nasty stuff to me today, including putting goop in my hair and in my ear canals to attach electrodes, and flushing my ears with cold water and then hot water to measure some level or another. Most of it was uncomfortable in one way or another, so I'm relieved to have it over with. However, I can still feel the water in my ear canals, and this cold is a bitch.
Good thing it's wednesday. |

| | Oh something good -- I got my new scale today.
The bad news -- it's an instant 4.6 lb weight gain, as the reading is that much different from my old scale. I know this is not a real weight gain, but, it's not fun to see the numbers going up when you feel them going down.
The worse news -- it has a body fat analyzer with it. I know, I know, they're not accurate. Still, I cannot believe what a high percentage I have. I nearly keeled over when I saw what it said. I can't wait to see that number going in the right direction! |

| | No whining from me today. It's a beautiful day out, I went out at lunch and bought one of those knee support thingies, and I'm going home soon to try it out. It'll be good to start jogging again - let's see how I do. |

| | Put on the support, and did a very slow and steady 2.5 miles. Yeah! My knee is burning a bit, but the wrap seemed to help a lot with the discomfort. I think if I take is slowly, I'll be ok. Feels good to be up and out again! | | |
