Ahem.

Well, I've already been on one walk this morning...a nice leasurely hour and a half that included playing Pooh Sticks on the bridge down the road.

I'm sure more good stuff later. Today is one of those "perfect" weather days that makes me glad I live in Iowa.

Well I don't know what "pooh sticks" are, but it sounds kinda stinky.

I walked to the dry cleaner and the drug store.

Actually, it's a literary reference. Christopher Robin and Pooh would play a game on the bridge over the creek in the 100 Acre Wood. Each player drops a stick over the side of the bridge, and then you run to the other side of the bridge to see whose stick gets to the other side first. Pooh invented it, so he named it "Pooh Sticks".

Has NOTHING to do with Road Apples.

Fiance and I walked to and from our florist appointment today. About 2.5 miles each way, with a not-so-brief stop at Boston Market halfway back.

Once I'd had it with my Seamus Heaney paper for the day (11 pages, thank-you-very-much), I took a 20-minute walk to clear my head.

Another four miles with my neighbor. Gotta love the good weather when you can get out for an hour with a girlfriend, talk and yak.

2 mile walk today. It would have been more, but, my foot that had the self-diagnosed plantar fasciitis which was getting better got worse yesterday. So, now I have plantar fasciitis and a twisted ankle. I'd go into the story, but it would be too much like whining.

So yesterday I rested it (under 1000 steps for the whole day -- eek!) and today I walked it until it started hurting, and then I took the rest of the day off.

20 minutes of rehab exercises on my shoulder. The pain has not gone away, despite my massive intake of Motrin. Back to the doctor next week.

Naomi, I'm glad you are going back since it sounds like things are not getting better.

I was somewhat of a slug yesterday. Plenty of lifestyle steps, but I forced myself to finish tax prep (yeah, I know...late as usual

) and laundry. Fit in a fun activity mid day with a potluck with a crowd of friends.
