The drug paroxetine, sold under the brand name Paxil by pharmaceutical firm GlaxoSmithKline Plc, cut in half the number of hot flashes suffered by women in the study. The study was funded by the firm and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
I do have to wonder just how many things one drug can be used for....Paxil is very commonly used to help prevent migraines in migraine sufferers as well as in its originally intended role as an anti-depressant.
Other side effects include lower libido in women and taking the lead out of a man's pencil, if you know what I mean
