| | Summer Weekend - Let's Log! | | Hi kids - it's the weekend, and it's summer. You know what that means - swim suit weather. I know that I always used to feel bulgy at the beach or pool - hated to be seen in a swim suit. Then I looked around and saw lots of people with lots of body types. Some were tiny, some were larger. Some were tall, some were short. You know who were the most attractive - the ones who didn't worry about it! The ones who were out enjoying a day in the sun and water, who had self confidence, and who liked themselves for all their good qualities and not for their faults were the most attractive by far. So - todays lesson is - love yourself for what you are, and give yourself a break for what you consider flaws. Remember that we have the power to make smart choices, and that includes choosing a healthy diet. Don't deprive yourself of a few treats - live, laugh, and eat - just log it here!
I'll be back with my consumption! |

| | Swim suit weather? It's 50 degrees and pouring!!! Hrumph. The sun and 70+ degree weather yesterday was just a tease.
Today I had:
2 sm. thin pieces of Bruschetta (that were not worth the fat or calories!)
1 water
1 cup french onion
1 sm spinach salad
2 diet cokes
Margaret, who would move to Fla if it meant she'd be able to remember what sunshine is but... then she'd have to wear summer clothes which, she hasn't in at least 10 years. (I don't wear bathing suits unless I HAVE to, and I don't wear shorts ever, nor do I wear tank tops without a cardigan over them ) |

| | Ok, the starch and sugar binge is over.
Breakfast - yogurt, coffee, skim milk: 1.5 milk
Lunch - leftover potatoes au gratin ( so much for starch cravings being over. But this is really fridge-cleaning before I go grocery shopping this afternoon. ): 2 starch, 2 protein, 2 fat

| | Snack: one Dole fruit bowl and a bit of Hubby's 6" chocolate Easter egg. Hell, if he hasn't eaten it all by now, it's fair game.

| | Another tuna sandwich (same stuff)
This concludes today's menu. I'm just not hungry. I had planned on 2 tuna sandwiches, and 1 chicken breast sandwich -- 2-3oz, and 2 fruits. But I have a feeling I will end up with only 2 sandwiches a day for now. Still working on my water. Will probably only end up with 40oz today. |
