Re: Build Leg Muscles and Brain Cells at the Same Time | | Personally, I would never exercise without music, and I always follow the beat of the music.
I love water aerobics (my only real exercise addiction--I can take or leave the rest) but get annoyed if the teacher doesn't follow the beat of the music or says, "go faster."
I'm like, "I can either go twice as fast to the beat of the music, to the beat of the music, or half as fast as the beat of the music, and that's it. If you want a speed other than that, change the music."
I really think that exercising to music helps the brain, and if I try to ignore the beat I don't feel nearly so good afterwards.
We are born into rhythm. The first sounds we ever hear are our mothers' heartbeats. |
