| | EA Losers Club - Monday Weigh In 8/27 | | Let's see. We tried being Cindies for a week. That worked for some of us.
Now we tried a week of non-Cinditude.
Was that any better?
Of course, you authentic Cindies can't help but be Cindies. That's understandable. But, how'd you do anyway?
Let's hear it...

At last, after 3 weeks of next to nothing... 3 pounds off!
Whew. I feel better now.
Sara I'm a loosah
I'm a loo-oo-oo-sah
And I've lost some flesh that's near to me...

| | Congratulations, Sara!
The non-Cindy week was okay for me. Nothing gained, nothing lost. I can live with that. I imagine these next few pounds will be tough for me to lose, as the pounds I've already lost were the ones I gained over the last year and a half. Now we're heading to the pounds that have been around for years. It took me quite a while to put them on, so I don't have a problem with it taking a while to take them off, as long as I don't backslide.
This week, I'd like to make my stepping goal every day. I'd also like to try out something in the exercise room that my apartment complex opened up last week. (I'd also like to go grocery shopping. I get paid in two days and am eating green beans for breakfast and peanut butter and jelly for lunch. Of course, I can't actually touch my paycheck for a couple of weeks if I deposit it, but that's a topic for a nasty bank Epinion.)

Sara that is EXCELLENT!!!!! Whooo HOOOOOO!!!!! Great job!
And Cindy, you've got the right stuff too! You are gonna complement your achievement of this week with a big loss next week...I can feel it. I have a knack for predicting this stuff (Ask Deb! )

That's why, despite everything people say to the contrary, I weigh myself daily. That way I know whether any weight gain is real or just a temporary blip. Plus, I get to learn my body's natural rhythm. Note: I can't dance, but my weight sure does.
I assume that you're just blipping Cindy. Especially considering what a good week you had last week. Some of that water just found it's way back home. Next week should be better.

I *hate* it when that happens.
Here's a little truism sent directly from someone who for the last month keeps losing and finding the same five frickin' pounds over and over again:
It will go away for good eventually--really! Just don't let its reappearance get you down. If you stick with a plan, you will discover that the avoirdupois you keep rediscovering actually finally does go away...then you will have a different 5 pounds to play hide and seek with.
And look on the bright side--you are still ahead of the game no matter what happens in one week.
Cyndi
Who thinks (even though she has been very good this week) she will rediscover at least a half pound of her previously lost poundage--because her body is basically evil. |

| | Sara - I weigh myself almost every day because my weight changes from day to day. This week I don't have a scale so I have no idea where my weight is at (probably on the high end because we've eaten out twice).
Cindy - If you're engaging in more activity than normal, like walking, you're probably building a little muscle which weighs more than fat; if that's the case, weight gain is a good thing. Also, take a look at the calendar. Your cycle might have something to do with it.
Cyndi - Your body is not evil! Embrace your body and love it and it will be good to you. Besides, it's the only one you have.

| | Weighed in at the health food store tonight and I'm down one pound. It's a miracle considering how lousy I'v been at sticking to any kind of diet this week. I refrained from buying icecream but Shane bought a big box of king-size Snickers bars at Costco and you wouldn't believe how well they go with a nice pinot noir in the evening.
This week, I'm drinking water and eating low-fat. We'll see.

| | Deb,
That pound that you inexplicably lost (good for you!)...
I found it this morning. Do you want me to mail it back to you?

Cindy--Check your cycle. It's probably Hormone hell week. You'll probably lose 6 pounds next week!
Deb--you naughty girl! I love to read when someone beats the "grim reaper of excess baggage"--that means there's hope for me.

Allow me to borrow your happy feet for a moment... I lost 2 pounds this week!
Whoo Hoo! That means I am 5 pounds away from my goal.
Pardon me if I sound excited. I never thought I would get here. I am thrilled--and here to say that if I can do it, anyone can (believe me)
Cyndi
Looking ahead to next week |

I found it this morning. Do you want me to mail it back to you? | LOL, no thanks. Shane still has 2 pounds of Snickers bars left in his bedroom. I'll borrow from there if I need help.
Actually, I may have stumbled on my biggest diet help. I tend to snack in the evenings, after my walk and before I go to bed. I've been taking my vitamin in the morning and have noticed that I'm nauseated for a couple of hours afterwards and really don't feel like eating. Now, I'm taking my vitamin at night, hoping that it will inhibit my snack motivation.

Doing the happy dance with Cyndi (maybe some of her weight loss superpowers will rub off)
