Workout like a Veteran (and thank them while you are at it ;)) H&F 11/11/04

Next time you want to bitch and whine about working out, think about what our men and women in the military have to do, just to stay in shape to protect all of us.

Navy Seals Workout

Whew. I don't even think I could get past the first line of the first section!

Give thanks today for the brave men and women who serve and have served in our military, and do something good for yourself as well.

Lynn

Yikes - what a workout!

Standard eggwaved egg here, plain today. Treadmill for 5 more minutes than yesterday (slowly increasing to at least an hour - treadmill is much harder than walking outside for some reason).

I don't know if it's actually harder or just seems harder because it's boring (no change in scenery), but I feel the same way. Maybe because you are forced to do a steady speed, whereas if you are walking on your own you will just naturally vary it?

I'll be having my eggs/cheese/ham for breakfast later. Some tea right now.

I think its the steady speed thing. I don't find it boring - a combination of watching shows I tape from the day before (finally, a legitimate excuse to tape Y&R, a show I've been hooked on since birth) and the irrational fear that I must pay constant attention to my feet for fear of falling off keeps it interesting.

I admit I can do without the little "average calories burned" counter - I don't need to know how little excercise burns vs how many calories are in one meal, even on a diet, thankyouverymuch - lol

That always gets me, too! Hate it.

Didn't get up and go to the gym today. Guess I'm treating it like a real day off.

Yogurt/splenda/almonds for breakfast.

I was STARVED!!! Bought supermarket sushi - 2 packs. spicey tuna and all veggie, but after 2 pcs the tuna grossed me out so I just ate the veggie. 4 pts - but then I had a mini Milky Way - which I really needed - 2 pts? 3?

you Sooner!!!

But check back again tomorrow.

dinner tonite was tacos, lettuce wrapped instead of tortillla wrapped to avoid carbs. I actually like them better, so may pursue in the future.

Son thought it was weird.

LOL yea, I eat my share of bad food..but all in all I cant complain to much. I'm pretty healthy for the most part and with my job, i stay pretty active. the driving does get lazy tho lol

Really looking at picking up a couple of excerise bikes for the wife and I to put inthe basement. the kind that you can program, with hills and stuff.. not sure how much these things cost, but i did njoy them in them service. Plus alot easier on the knees than running.
