Holiday weight gain is really my only whine. I'm working on it. Well, I am going to the gym.

Two slices of swiss cheese and SF hot chocolate for breakfast.

Baby weight is my big whine. I'm almost to fat for the one pair of uniform pants that I can actually button. The weather is icky. The course director for this semester is a micro-manager that treats the rest of us (all people with master's degrees or more) like we're stupid. We were supposed to inventory the computer stuff this afternoon but our IT guy did not show up. I am totally at a loss on what to do next with my academic trip to Ireland this summer. I haven't even started my conference paper. That should do it for now.

Breakfast: bowl of cereal and two bananas
Snack: three piece of dried mango and three pieces of dried papaya, 2 chocolate & nut cookies
Lunch: taco salad (my nanny made her own tortillas last night)

Beverages: 2 cups of tea, about a quart of water and a diet caffeine free coke

I also hit the elliptical trainer at the gym this morning for a solid half hour.

Working from home today, which means unlimited free food at my disposal. Not even going to talk about it.

I can't get my email program from work to load.

My boss just called and asked me how I feel about having a direct report. The person who will be reporting to me is okay, I don't mind HER, but I don't like having direct reports. So I don't know if that is a whine or not.

It's still snowing.

My pants are currently closed via a safety pin since I can't cinch the waistband tight enough to hook them the normal way.

There is still chocolate in the office.

Breakfast: coffee w/a scant bit of sugar and a couple drops of milk, 1 scrambled egg

Midmorning Meeting: coffee w/milk and sugar

Lunch: 7 almonds and the last of the Hoppin' John

I have available to me an apple, more almonds, carrots, and hummus.

I just keep getting fatter and fatter. I gave away all my really fat clothes and am only wearing fat clothes now. All my normal clothes are too small.

I refuse to buy fat clothes (although I guess you could say one or two things I bought in the past year are semi-fat clothes - if I ever get back to my previous weight they'll be a little big but not too bad, I don't think).

Lunch was a Spa Cuisine by Lean Cuisine. Lemongrass chicken, yummy! 5 points. Had split pea soup for a snack (and two chocolates).

I did marching with my Leslie Sansone weights while I watched the end of American Beauty (what a weird film, BTW) and now I'm going to go out and shovel some of my driveway.

I didn't hate it, it was just kind of creepy in a thought-provoking way.

That realtor guy was icky. I thought he was Billy Bob Thornton, who I think is mega-creepy. But no, it was Peter somebody (did he just die or something? better go check IMDB)

Anyway -

Dinner: you ever have one of those Happy Meal cravings? By Happy Meal I don't mean specifically McDonalds Happy Meal (registered trademark, all rights reserved, etc.) but a meal that used to make you really happy when your mom made it when you were a kid, but you NEVER eat now? Well last night we had hot dogs with macaroni and cheese from a box. I even sliced my hot dog into those little circles and stirred it right in the macaroni, just like Dad used to make.

MJ, you and my husband went to the same cooking school. Have you tried the same recipe with Ramen noodles, or a can of chili. I guess eating it right out of the pan makes it even better!

Worm, the seams would not be a good sign, you should take some fashion hints from MJ i.e. the safety pin idea.

The safety pin only helped my waist. My hips and thighs have seam marks

re: the recipes. When I told Hubby I wanted kid food, he said, "Yeah, like franks and beans!" But he agreed to have M&C from a box instead.
