| | Okey dokie! WE'RE FAT AS WHALES AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!
Hmmm. That just doesn't come out right, does it?
Good morning! Today is the first day of our mutual support to get rid of those pounds! It's summer, so hopefully it shouldn't be to hard - nice weather, higher metabolisms, etc.
My log:
Frosted Mini Wheats and 2% milk. And water.

| | Good for you guys. I won't be logging online (not that I don't support you, I just don't feel the need to put it in two places...one of my "methods" is that I have a fat notebook that I used to log when I logged, and it's hell to carry around. I'm carrying it around now, punishment. )
I'm proud of myself though. I have a lunch date at Panera and I went out to the DWLZ.com site and looked up what the best thing to eat at Panera is. Looks like I'll be having soup of some sort for lunch.
Planning is GOOD.

| | Panera veggie soup is very good and low fat. Yummy!
If they don't have that - the black bean is good, low fat and very filling.
That with an apple and you're good to go.
Lynn - I think that I need to start carrying the stupid WW packet again. When I did, I used it and was really good.
I feel so off today. I know that I need to eat, but I'm afraid. Don't know what I can eat that won't hurt. |

| | so WW peeps, wanna help me out.
I can't afford to join. I was given the slide-y thingie by a friend who went to the calculator thingie. Can someone tell me the formula to figure out my points per day so I can use it? |

| | Yes, but I'll have to wait till I get home.
You know how to use the slidey thing? That's easy, and it will tell you your points.
I'll have to look up how many points you should have each day (it goes by your current weight)
The old way you could have that many points a day (so if you can have up to 26 you want to aim for 23-26 - undereating is not good either).
You subtract out the points you eat and you can give yourself credit for exercise.
The less old way gives you a flat # of points each day, but then gives you X number of flex points - so - you can eat 20 points each day, but then you have X points that you can split up and use a few each day, or save up for a party, etc etc.
There is a newer system of 2 but I don't know them. |

| | System I used is to keep yourself at a number of points per day, based on your age and weight, and you could have a set number of flex points per week to use on weekends, special nite out, or whatever. You couldn't save those points from weigh in to weigh in (beyond a week.) Let me see if I can find the guidelines for the points if Wormie doesn't find it first.
Oh and on the slider, you know you are looking for Calories, Fat Grams, Fiber Grams. Fiber = Good, Fat = Bad. Calories add up, but are the least important part of the equation.

| | 3 baby carrots and a slice of cheese for a snack.
1/2 crunchy PB sandwich on "whitewheat", w/mayo.
Water
Need an afternoon snack that's good, gotta go looking.
Logging in a notebook for my eyes only isn't incentive enough, I gotta share.

| | Me, I don't need to share and make public my bad eating habits. Although they have been pretty good now that I have started writing them down.
My thing is more having to lug around that notebook and write everything down. I'm not real keen on doing that, so if I make myself until I get back under control, I'll limit what I eat. I ENJOY coming in here and chatting with you guys...so even the excuse of logging online isn't a punishment.
