Crunchy fruits and veggies

Hubby's wanting to get back to healthy snacking, and wants crunchy stuff. Recommendations besides ye olde carrots, celery sticks and crunchy apples? He has been known to do things like rutabega and so forth, but isn't really fond of them.

Kashi Go Lean Crunch

(not a fruit or veggie but a good source of fiber and protein and goes well with things like apples)

I think it is hard to find something to fulfill that need to "crunch." I can relate well to what your husband is feeling.

Rice cakes have a good crunch and low calorie but not what I would call a healthy food as they don't provide much in the way of nutrients. But they crunch! They are even savory flavors not just sweet. However, you'll have to find a bargain on them as I think they are pricey.

Broccoli and cauliflower

G and the kids do baby carrots and broccoli with hummus for lunch. Add in one of those 100 Calorie pretzel packs and it's a very yummy crunchy lunch.

I prefer raw cauliflower to raw broccoli.
