Curves

For the new year I'd like to add some "movement" or activity (note no Exercise words). I know that some of you have gone to Curves and was wondering about your experiences there. Does it cost much? Was it good activity? Did it help accelerate dieting....I'm doing WW? I'm starting on the treadmill at home but thought maybe some outside activity might also help strength and toning. I'm not an exercise person and have never been one but do want the weight to come off faster than the one pound a week I'm achieving now.

As a general rule, the better it felt when you said it, the more trouble it's going to get you into.

Re Curves

My friend goes, and she loves the place. I don't know how much but she really enjoys it there. Never been, myself.

Re Curves

Hhm. I did it for a while and it wasn't right for me, but it's great for some people. Money wise, I don't think it's a GREAT deal - it'll cost almost the same as a full gym. I would check prices. If there is a gym around that has machines and classes and the costs are similar, I think it's a better bet. Especially if you have a gym designed for women where you may feel more comfortable. Curves is a great step and can be good, but I got bored and I found that I didn't push myself as much as I should have.
Also - when I joined you had to commit to one year. If you can join for a few months as a jump start that may be great, but it wasn't a good option for me after the first several months.

Re Curves

I'll check it out then. But, I don't want a year's membership either so it may not work for me.

Liking the part about not pushing
