Fire dancing?

I just read about this new fitness craze: fire dancing.

Does that sound too scary to be believed, or what?! Gee, whatever happened to juggling with knives?

Aw, come on, haven't you ever seen that staple of Southern marching bands - fire baton twirling?! Not that far removed, really.

Although, I will say, I happen to know that it does not work well for people with hairier-than-normal arms.

Um, how do you know this?

Not personally. But one of our baton twirlers did set her arm on fire during her routine. She was very pale blonde, but had *very* hairy arms, poor thing. She brushed her arm with one of the batons. Nothing bad, but she singed the hair really good.
