Apparently I did not have the luck of having the right flu shot this year. I've got a fever, sore throat, headache, body aches, and couldn't get warm last night. Grr.

Oh MJ, I feel for you. I am so sorry. I know what you are feeling. Hot tea was comforting, but ice water was soothing on my throat. Remember lots of liquids.

You've had a busy weekend, I hope you're just a bit run down and don't actually have the real flu. Get in bed, rest and lots of fluids!

Margaret - I called my doctor's emergency number, he called me back, I told him my symptoms, he called in the Rx, Hubby picked it up. Took all of 20 minutes. The flu's pretty easy to diagnose, no need to go in.

The worst part is I just can't get comfortable. I can't keep lying around - my back and head and arms and legs get so achy - but sitting up for a long time or standing are too tiring. Ugh.

Honey, have you actually SEEN the doctor? Cause it sounds like more than the flu...if you have strep you want to be on antibiotics of some kind.

And I can't tell you how long your head is gonna hurt...our family managed to escape the respitory flu , but I know it's taking most people weeks to recover.

Yeah, flu brought on strep, antibiotics headed my way, yipee doo dah day. Reminds me of the good old days in my 20's when any time I got any sort of cold my tonsils would kick in and I'd be hosting strep for a week or two.

Chicken soup, add a ton of garlic, fresh ginger and a fresh hot pepper or two. Cures everything. At least, it cures everything it doesn't kill.

Like I can get hubby to buy fresh ginger. it's going to be hard enough to get him to pick up yogurt to go with my Zithromax.

I can feel what you are feeling somewhat.

I have lost 14 pounds since Sunday night, when the flu kicked in for me, but it was the out the top out the bottom kind of flu and it's still going. Today is my first day back to work (Thursday), and I cannot tell you when the last time I missed a day of work due to being ill.

Finally getting some solid food in my body today. Likely, will be the only thing I can eat though.

I totally feel your pain though!
