Has anyone done this? I read that learning to use the walking poles might be a way to improve my balance, and also might allow me to eventually run again, so I went out and bought a pair of trek poles. So far, the technique is confusing but I think I'm getting it. I am loving this!! |

OMG, this is an awesome workout! I tried the poles for the first time last night. I've been walking a couple of miles almost every day and so I felt pretty confident about going a long distance. Wrong! I had to force myself to walk 4 blocks, and by the time I got back to the house I was dragging my sorry butt. The upper body workoout makes the whole thing really intense- I think it is better and more strenuous than running. I am LOVING it!  |
