Gotta be some type of disorder involving makeup. Oh, and you really do love your kids.

My daughter does that to me on a semi-regular basis. I say semi becaue it takes a long time for my skin to clear after one of her make-over sessions.

Well, it all started out so innocently... with a trim of Erin's bangs.

Then she wanted to cut the rest of her hair and I wouldn't do it. So I started trying to show her some of the things she can do with long hair. In one of the bags of hair stuff was some light mascara ("Lash darkener") and lipstick. She wanted some "real" lipstick and it wasn't too long until bath time, so....

Next thing I know, I've got out the makeup (the one small compact of eyeshadow I have left - I threw all the rest out a few weeks ago because it was too old) and put a little on her. You know what that meant.

Now Mama must be hair clipped and makeup-ed. And she went on...and on...and on... Sean got in on the act, too, rearranging my hair clips and blending my makeup. (You can't see it in the picture, but there are 5 standard size butterfly-style hair clips in my hair, as well as about 10 child sized ones!)

And no, I didn't have all that stuff on for an hour before I posted here. I took the picture and immediately washed it all off. It was about an hour after that before I posted here.

Ah well, it was worth it. Quality bonding time and all that.... and it kept them quiet for about 45 minutes!

If that were my kids, they would have poked my eyes out. Good, Mom! (And trusting, too!)
