EA Birthday Card Club

The EA Birthday Card Club is approaching its first anniversary.


We have two birthdays coming up very quickly this month.
I'll be sending out PMs with the details to the club members later tonight.

I missed sending out a notice about a birthday on the 6th, so I'll send that out ASAP too.


As we come to the end of our first year I'd like to find out if everyone is enjoying the club? For me, it's fun even though I'm always late (I'm sorry ) I do like finding cute cards and sending them along.

Are the current members wishing to continue the club?

How about some new members? Would anyone like to join in?


Also, I'd like to have someone else take on the secretary duties for the next year. I figure we should rotate annually.

What does everyone else think?

Hi Katherine:

Good to hear from you. I had tried to PM you earlier in the week but you were filled up! I did send off an email to the missed birthday family to get details to send off a card and received notices today from you on the other one as well.

I wanted to know how many families and/or kids are in the group?

Personally I would like to continue with it as well as the opportunity to update my message for future birthdays. I never knew where the original posting/thread was here to try to change it.

As far as the secretary duties I would be willing to take that on as I have stayed pretty much on top of it and reminded you to send out for your son earlier in the year or was that last year, I forget now.

My one question is I have no idea how to do the reminder thing you mentioned on Internet Explorer so a quick point in the right direction or a lesson overview would be in order.

Also some ideas on how to get others to join in the fun and find out why others may have dropped out.

Thanks for following up on this and taking on the responsibility this past year.

You know, this is just so special... I do not know why we always hide our light under a bushel basket.

I would think that everyone would want to celabrate a birthday with a card.

Me? Oh gosh no! I am just so busy coordinating the snipe hunt that I don't know how I would find time to participate.

The number varies as time goes by. At the moment I think we're at five families with ten children.

I used MS Outlook to keep track of the birthday schedules. Whatever system, on-line or off-line, that you use to keep track of appointments should work for the Birthday Club too.

Well you know I was going to respond here again but since no one was really posting I decided to wait.

My son had his birthday on March 22nd and not one card came. I told him each time he signed a card and helped with stickers that these people would be sending him a card.

I have sent a few dollars and Mc Donalds certificates, coupons and other little trinkets in all the cards.

I know I sent out about four cards in the last month or so and still nothing was sent to my son.

Maybe this is a sign that the club is not going to continue or start from scratch with new people.

There does not seem to be a need for a secretary since no one is sending any cards out at this point in time.

I think we're a group of well intentioned but tardy people

I know I have a few cards waiting for me to put pen to paper and stamp to envelope. I couldn't tell you what takes me so long to do these things I still have Christmas cards I haven't mailed ... slow, but sure I'll get organized
