We're going to run away from home and live at the stores and library...

I think we're going to stop living at home and instead, just go live at the mall, the library, the zoo, the park, etc. I have such great kids when we're out, but the minute we get home, they switch places with their dopplegangers from h***. So that's it! We're just going to go live elsewhere. For TV time, we can go visit the electronics stores. For book time and learning time, the library. For fresh air and excercise, the park - but only if there are other kids and parents there. Meals at the food courts in the malls.

We were out yesterday. First I took them to the park to play. While there, a little boy about 5 years old or so came up to play, Sean introduced himself and his sister, asked the boy his name. The 3 of them ran around for a while, then got on this 4-way bouncy/horsy thingy to play. Another little boy comes up, Sean calls to him and asks him if he wants to get on and play. He did, and Sean asked him his name, too, and introduced himself, his sister, and the other little boy. The new boy's mother was right there and she laughed and commented on how nice and friendly and polite he was. "He's every mother's dream!" she tells me!

Then we went to the Dollar Tree to exchange a broken item Sean had bought on Saturday. He grabs a buggy out of the parking lot to return it to the store, then just as he finished sticking the buggy back into the inside corral, he noticed a lady about to come in, so he ran over to the door and opened it for her. She thanked him, then he pulls out a buggy for her and gives it to her. She was just floored!

Okay, so where are MY kids? You know, the ones who just two hours earlier were SCREAMING at each other over whether or not Sean could play in Erin's "famous girl band". The Sean who I had to sit down and explain in about 3 different ways that Erin has feelings just like him and since he doesn't like it when she tries to take over his games, she feels the same way and doesn't like it when he tries to take over her games. The Erin who has had to be grounded from touching the cat unless the cat comes to her first. And so on. Those kids at the park and the store don't live at MY house! Where on earth do they go?

murasaki is on a distinguished road

Well, at least it's not the other way around with people thinking they're little demons!
