| | How boring life would be without my boys! | | This morning Zachary and Devon were fighting over a matchbox car. (This is the time to point out that they have at least 1000 cars, and two of the car they were fighting over.) The fight ended with Devon grabbing one of Zack's Nascar trading cards, throwing it in the toilet, and peeing on it.
Zachary burst out crying, my husband was holding in a laugh, and I am the one that had to dig in the toilet to get the thing out so it doesnt clog.

Isn't it amazing how the joys and headaches sometimes get rolled up in the same event?

The fights over The One Toy of Many Toys always amazes me. Of course The One Toy only becomes The One Toy when someone else has it. Julia (2yrs) knows just how to push Nicholas's (4yrs) buttons. She'll watch him for a few minutes, determine which toy is the most important to him, run in, grab it, and then run away, laughing the entire time.
Say, maybe I should try putting sports cards in the toilet to encourage my Nicholas to finish his potty-training. Knowing him though he'd try to get Julia to pull the cards out for him

| | Re: How boring life would be without my boys! | | There's something about Matchbox cars and toilets. That's how I knew my husband was "really" a dad. He was the one that had to fish out a Matchbox car when our son was little from a toilet he dropped it into when we were on vacation.

I don't know that I will be saying that in a few years/months. Whenever Brenna starts getting creative with things she wants to test in the toilet, I will be scared.
I keep envisioning that commerical where the mom says that she cannot believe her son threw her daughters doll in the toilet then proceeded to try to get it out with hammer & screw driver. (It's like a check cashing company or something.)
I am afraid, very afraid. (I am also thinking, it makes sense to have only 1 child.)

| | Re: How boring life would be without my boys! | | One child can still cause a lot of trouble.
Shhhh! Don't say anything but I am secretly proud of Devon for standing up to his brother in some way rather than hiding under the blankets on his bed. Of course, he can't go around peeing on things because someone ticked him off.
I was telling my mom about it and just burst out laughing. I couldnt help it anymore.
Life is just never dull.
