"Scouting for Food" Food Drive

It's our annual food drive time, and today Sooner, the boys and I dropped off 157 bags to houses around the neighborhood. We then treated the boys to ice cream for a job well done.

Next weeked we pick up the filled bags. Sooner and I decided to go to the groceery store and buy some cans - we can get between 30 and 40 for $10. Hopefully, we will make a difference in someone's Thanksgiving and Christmas.

What a great project, Cristina! It's so important to get children involved in things like that.

My boys do Scouting for Food, too. It is such an easy way for people to donate. It takes such little effort on their part and can really be substantial.

I like it, too, because it is non-confrontational. We leave a bag at every house and they can either put a can or two in it or throw it away.
