"I like the smell of feet"

When Gretchen was crawling, she would stop and smell people's shoes.

It was quite odd, to have this 9 month old, inhaling through her tiny nostrils over a pair of clogs.

Through the years, she has continued this weird little habit.

Usually, she is sitting on the floor next to a pair of feet and she will slyly lean towards the feet and take a gentle whiff. Then, she looks up to see if anybody noticed.

The other day, she picked up my Birkenstock sandal and held it to her nose.

"Gretchen? What are you doing?"

She shrugged: "I like the smell of feet."

Well, as I always say about her, the girl knows what she wants and knows how to get it.

I have a pair of Buzz Lightyear sneakers that reek to high heaven. Would she like them?
