| | TheEye just shared this story about my nephew Quote: |
Another recent cute anecdote: looking at license plates, as he always does, he saw that New Hampshire's motto is 'Live Free or Die' He thought about it for a couple of seconds and then said, seriously, 'I would rather live free.'
| Gosh, I just love that kid! |

| | Being good aunties we will continue to call him the Poopster right up until his wedding day, of course. Possibly beyond. And DEFINITELY in front of any and all girlfriends. |

| | He has been saying that for ages. When he was two he hit me over the head with a baseball bat and screamed "Go 'way, bear! Bears bad!" during a nice game of Bears. After I could see straight again I had to tell Iris how cute he was. "I am," he said solemnly" not cute. I just am." |

| | Now see, Bug will readily tell you he's cute. While batting his insanely long eyelashes.
This, of course, is usually right after he tells you that he ate the frosting/punched his sister/ran in the road because "I ebil." |

| | When I first arrived, I asked him what he wanted to do, and he said he wanted to play Bears. When I asked him how to play that, he held out his arms, made a face and yelled,"ROARRRRWLLL!". Ok, so that's not so hard. I got down on my hands and knees, let out a ferocious growl, and he screamed, grabbed his (real!) baseball bat and clocked me with it!
After I got up, I asked him why he'd whacked me, and he said it was because I scared him. So, I asked him what he wanted to play next - I was sort of hoping for chess. Nope, he said that he wanted to play Bears again. |

| | May all of your nephew's choices be as good--particularly when he reaches the teenage years
Sounds like he has a good head start on good choices. |

| | Oh Cindy - Sorry!
Frazz - he's a very smart and very sweet little boy.
Another funny story. A few months ago he came home all mad at a little girl he goes to school with. He told his mom that she insulted him terribly - she called him the "S" word. At their house the "s" word is "stupid" and TheEye knew that this girl wouldn't have said that. It turns out that she said that he was sweet. His mom said that he is sweet which further upset him. He insisted, "I'm not sweet, I'm a boy! Other boys have parents that let them be real boys". When asked what he wasn't allowed to do that "real boys" could do, he said that "real boys say words like 'sucker'!" |

| | A couple of weeks ago, we were waiting for his camp bus in the morning. Another bus from the same camp drove by, and he gave it the finger! (Every summer, there's always an "enemy bus".) When I yelled at him not to do that he got that look he gets when he realizes that something he thought was OK is actually bad. I explained that the gesture in question is only to be used when he's really, really mad at someone (Naturally, TheEye told him never to use it at all.)
He also said that every once in a while the driver stops at a gas station for coffee, and when that happens, everyone unbuckles their seat belts, gets up on the seats, and parties
