OK. Here's what's wrong with that picture. It is a picture of my daughter's friend's baby. Now, you see, this is not a picture of a poor baby born to a 14-year-old baby herself. This is the baby of a young 20 year old woman. This means that I myself will soon be the MOTHER of a young 20 year old woman. In March, to be exact.
This cannot be. I can handle (marginally) being the mother of teenagers. I CANNOT and SHOULD NOT be expected to handle being the mother of a 20 year old.
That baby, precious and adorable as he is, is a portent of DOOM. If Sarah's friends can be adults and have babies, it's only a matter of time....
No. I refuse to even think about it.
