| | Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | I don't know if I should be happy or sad. My babester's growing up so fast.
She has been saying that her bottom 2 teeth felt wiggly. I couldn't really feel it.
Her dentist, back in May, said that she has a couple of wiggly teeth, they could fall out in the next few months or after she turned 6 years old.
Well, she was brushing her teeth tonight getting ready for bed and she started to kind of squeak and squawk...she came running out into the living room shouting she lost her tooth and was carrying it with her down the hall.
She was jumping off the walls, excited and ready to shout it out to the world!
My oh my how quickly they grow up!

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | No.
Way.
Babester is NOT old enough to be losing teeth.
Seriously.
(congrats mom...has the Tooth Fairy been notified? )

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | Uh--you might want to talk to MissyRissy. When she lost her first teeth, she told me she saw the Tooth Fairy. She wore a purple skirt with teeth on it, and had "yellow" hair. Missy used to write notes to the TF, and the TF would have to answer the notes, with of course a small token. (The going rate back then was $1.00/tooth) I don't know what it is now.

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | We were not completely prepared. She just turned 5. We did not think it would be so soon!
But, we ran out, picked up a book for her and the 1st tooth is going to be $5, each after will be $1. (inflation you know!)
I have to get a note written for her really quick. I think the excitement has finally died down and she is hopefully sound asleep. (If she truly is, thunderstorms don't bother her, I will be ok.)
Heck, one night, we had tornado sirens going off, I went into her room, picked her up, carried her downstairs and held her for about 20 minutes, carried her back upstairs and she barely flinched!

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | I'm pretty sure we can find tooth fairy posts in the history here from when I had to do tooth fairy for my boys. (And of course screwed it up in my usual backwards fashion.) They grow up so fast!
But yay to milestones!
Congrats.

(Funny, Erin lost a tooth just a few days ago while brushing *her* teeth!)

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | Oh, she can't be old enough to lose her baby teeth - I remember when she was born!
Andrea, you could not have screwed up the tooth fairy debacle more than I did. I lost every damned one of Shane's baby teeth before he could put them under his pillow. He finally stopped telling me about them and saved them for his dad's house. He'd pretend they fell out there and clean up - his dad paid $10 for each tooth.

Deb, I'm 99% sure we had this conversation when I kept forgetting poor Dan's tooth fairy money....he'd look under his pillow, tooth was still there and the %$#@ tooth fairy had taken the night off. Again.
Now a 6' 3" baritone who shaves, Kim. Take a lot of pictures, Kim!
(And enjoy. This is so much fun.)

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | None of y'all ever paid twice, though, right? I think it was Cindy who managed to pay twice at least one of the times, much to the outrage of the older Horsemen.
No TF here, which is a relief, because I just don't keep money around the house!

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | Congrats, Kim My favorite two teeth to go are the top two front teeth. I call it the first grade smile.
My two girls no longer believe in the TF. They know that their older brother played the role several times when mom didn't have cash. Now, we just give them their dollar.

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | I took a pic last night, and it was tough getting the little one just right to get the shot. She was so jumpy and excited I kept getting blurry images!
I will have to try to upload a pic tonight if I can. We are off the karate holiday schedule & our crazy schedule starts back up tonight...making for a long night!

Kim, you're old.
Our tooth fairy sucks! I think she had a drinking problem myself.

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | The little books I gave the babester were interupting her sleep last night.
She woke up around 1am whimpering because she was uncomfortable...she was trying to move her pillow and the little paperback (thin) book bothered her in her sleep. We had to get up and move the items so that she could sleep more restfully. Probably will do something different next time!

| | Re Baby lost her 1st tooth tonight.... | | I am in disbelief too. I wasn't prepared at all for it this quickly!
I have to find the "baby's 1st lock/1st tooth" memory box or whatever you call them to protect these little treasures. Now, I have to do it more quickly and I cannot just do it at my leisure!
