| | Shane called today - he was supposed to be in class, so I picked up wondering just what he was doing. "Mom, do you know how easy it is to cancel class?"
"For the teacher?" "No, I just cancelled my CIS class."
"Okay, how did you do that?" "Well, I got to class 5 minutes late and everyone was standing out in the hall because the classroom was locked and the teacher hadn't arrived. I thought they looked like a bunch of sheep, so I decided to be a wolf. I walked up to the door and announced "Class is cancelled for today." Everyone left."
I hope his teacher has a sense of humor. Or that the other students can't identify him, come Thursday.

| | It's that Marine training, although when I was in college, some of us would have hung around for the 15 minutes we were supposed to allow the prof. Can't recall ever finding a door locked, but there were a couple of occasions when the prof just didn't show. Not many, though.

| | My college had a waiting scale - if it was a class taught by a full prof, you were expected to wait 15 mintues. Adjunct - 10 minutes. TA - 5.

| | That's hilarious, Deb! Gotta love it!
MJ, we had the same waiting scale. It was also funny how my attitude changed as I got older. (I went to school right after HS, then went back as an adult.) When I was 18, I would get so disappointed when a professor showed up 14 minutes late. As an adult, I'd get pissed when he didn't show at all.
